Intro to Pelvic Floor Yoga Workshop
The health of the pelvic floor is often overlooked and can influence the way we experience our bodies as women. Imbalances of the pelvic floor muscles can result in pelvic pain, incontinence, organ prolapse, painful intercourse, digestive issues, back pain, and anxiety.
In this class, we will map out this vital center through anatomical investigation and movement. Equal parts discussion and practice, we’ll examine the role of the pelvic diaphragm in respiration and its function as a core muscle. You will learn how to find, assess, and recruit your pelvic floor muscles. Explore breath exercises, dynamic movement, and restorative yoga that tone, stretch, and promote flexibility. You will leave with tools to incorporate in your daily practice for maintaining health and balance of your pelvic floor.
I am a body worker and yoga teacher with over 17 years of experience. My journey started in 2004 when I discovered my empathic abilities and the fulfilling experience of helping people heal.
I was always curious about health and wellness, and in 2017, I found my way to yoga. Despite facing some challenges in my personal life, I was drawn to a new way of life at a Parahamasa Yogananda based ashram in Northern California. It was there that I started my healing journey and began to access my intuition.
A turning point in my journey came when I met my yoga teacher Angie Hall at a random yoga festival. I was able to release deep-seated energetic and physical blockages, and I was inspired to learn more about Himalayan Kundalini. My training took me to India and helped me to live a more fulfilling life, both for myself and those around me.
As a teacher, I guide people back to themselves using techniques like breathwork, meditation, and various yoga practices. I help individuals manage their anxiety, release stuck energy, and bring balance to their mental and physical health. Teaching Himalayan Kundalini is my way of living a beautiful life, helping others do the same. Namaste, Simona

Himalayan kundalini yoga class. A blend of breath with movement or mantra with movement repetitively also known as Kriya (action that leads to evolution, expectation and libation). It also includes meditation, ecstatic dance and asanas.
It comes form Northern India. And Anand Mehrotra is the first master to teach Satttva Yoga (Himalayan kundalini) in a revolutionary way.
The most common kundalini comes from Yogi Bajam southern India linage but how I learned it is form Anand northern India. There is similarities but it's completely deferent.
It's not so strict it's more flowing and it goes with the energy of the room.
My journey with movement began at age 7 as a dancer, blossoming into a professional career in my early twenties. I immersed myself in traditional, modern, improvisational, and free-flow dance, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion for physical expression.
Over 30 years, I have broadened my exploration by cycling across the country, studying Kung Fu in China, and running marathons in England. Today, I serve as the general manager of BEND Hot Yoga and an experienced yoga instructor, teaching classes that range from mindfulness and breathwork, to Barre, and grounded Hatha Flow classes.
I am passionate about creating a safe, communal space where individuals can experiment with their bodies as living laboratories.
In addition, I am pursuing a Master’s in Counseling at Prescott College with a focus on Somatic Therapy, while deepening my practices in mindfulness. This diverse journey continually enriches my teaching and personal growth.
